December KRF

It was very cold last Saturday, but that didn’t stop us from coming out in full force at our 6 locations.

Getting warmed up

Will you be collecting all 8?
Our Saturday event was particularly special because we officially launched our sixth location - Braunstone Park in Leicester. There was a photo call and even a mention in the Leicester Mercury newspaper. As well as this Gail was on BBC Radio Leicester letting people know all about the work of KRF.

We also used our brand new timing system for runners. Instead of barcodes and scanning we now have a card to give to each child. Parents now time their children with a stopwatch and write the time on their card. Each child gets a sticker for every race they attend, once they’ve collected 8 they can claim a free hoodie or t-shirt, even more reason to keep on racing with us!

We hope you had a great time at this months events, and a big thanks to all the volunteers who helped out.

Until next time!
