Christmas Celebrations 2014

In December all I can think of is CHRISTMAS.

 Me with my Christmas hat

So, I have invited all children taking part of Kids Run Free events to dress up for the occasion and I am so proud of all of you that have stand up to my challenge. Here are just a few of you dressed to impress. And what is even better is that you have overcome the very cold weather, especially on Saturday 6th December and join us at your closest Kids Run Free to run.

Even my best friend Joey couldn’t resist and joined the party in Braunstone Park in Leicester.

We really need to thank all the Race Directors and other volunteers that make our events possible every month. An extra special thank you for dressing up for Christmas and giving treats to children and parents and making the event sparkling especial.

In December we have also announced that our Leamington Spa event will go Weekly from January 2015. So, please come and run every Saturday at Newbold Comyn if this is your closest Kids Run Free event.

In December I also like to take a quick look of all the work and achievements of my team and I would love to share a few of these with you.
Back in July we were honoured to be one of the three finalists for the Pride of Warwick District Awards 2014. It is so gratifying to know that our work is being noticed and that we are being recognised in our own community for all the hard work.
We amazingly launched 7 new locations: Northampton, Richmond, Daventry, Bedworth, Tamworth, Leicester (Knighton Park) and Worcester.
Kids’ Marathon has grown significantly since last year: from 10 primary schools in 2013/14 School year to 23 primary schools for 2014/15 school year, reaching over 4500 children. And we have a few schools in a waiting list and funding from Leamington Round Table to launch four new schools in Leamington Spa. We envisage that we will have over 7000 children taking part by the end of January 2015.

We have a few new Kids Run Free launches planned for February, March and April 2015: Rugby, Solihull (Olton), Brighton, …

So we are very much looking forward to working for you in 2015.

In a personal note, I am looking to make an appearance at a Kids Run Free event anytime in 2015. So keep running and I will be running with you soon. In the meantime look out for my friend Joey.

Yours Dashingly, Dash
